Grok, Cursor and X Premium Merge Into One Plan: “The X Subscription”
SpaceX Super Intelligence (SpaceXAI) is folding its chatbot, its AI coding editor and X’s paid tier into one subscription with five plans and a single shared AI-usage pool.

On Monday evening (about 7:08 PM ET, Oct. 12, 2026), the official SpaceX Super Intelligence account on X announced: “We’ve unified plans across Grok, Cursor, and X Premium. Introducing The X Subscription.”
Company claims (not independently verified): In follow-up posts, the company said there are five plans, from Free to Ultra, and claimed each plan “provides more usage-per-dollar of our own models than the comparable plan it replaces.” No independent comparison has been published yet. The pitch, in the company’s words: “Code with AI in Cursor, get work done with Bot, chat and create with Grok, and benefit from all X Premium features.”
Company claims (not independently verified): Cursor’s official account said current Cursor subscribers can keep their existing plan or switch, that paid plans “share one usage pool across Cursor, Grok Build, and other Grok products,” and claimed users get twice the coding usage on Grok models compared with the equivalent Cursor plan. X’s official account claimed current X Premium subscribers will “get Grok and Cursor benefits included for the same price or less.”
The rollout is gradual. SpaceXAI said subscribers should check their billing settings for availability and limited-time offers, and that existing subscribers can link their Grok, Cursor and X accounts.
Prices (official): SpaceXAI’s announcement page and pricing docs list five plans: Free ($0), Plus ($8/month), Premium ($30/month), Super ($100/month) and Ultra ($200/month), or $80, $300, $1,000 and $2,000 a year for the paid tiers. Premium, Super and Ultra include 4x, 15x and 50x the Plus plan’s usage, the company says. Prices exclude sales tax.
What this means for you: If you already pay for X Premium, a Grok plan or Cursor, open your billing settings before your next renewal and compare. You may be able to drop separate bills into one. If you only use one of the three, the bundle may not save you anything, so check the actual plan prices before switching.
